Meet: Thursdays in the church hall of Christ Church, Owlthorpe/Hackenthorpe in time to register before the walk starts at 2pm.

Time: 1.50 in time to start walking at 2pm

Meet: in the church hall, Christ Church, Hackenthorpe  S12 4LR. Access the church hall via the main entrance to the church off Sheffield Road, Hackenthorpe.

 

 

  

  

We offer different walks for striders, strollers and shufflers, so all abilities are welcome. All walks leave from the Christ Church  at 2pm prompt on Thursdays.

We’re easy to find. The Owlthorpe/Hackenthorpe tram stop is 100 yards away, the number 8 bus stops outside, or the 682 near the tram stop, and there’s parking in the Church grounds.

Our walks are free, but we ask for a contribution of £1 from those coming back for refreshments after the walk, to cover the cost of the church hall and the tea and biscuits. Anything left over we use to subsidise day trips, which we try and organize two or three times a year, and meals.

And if you’re not ready yet for a walk, but you want an excuse to get out of the house and meet some new friends, you’re more than welcome to join us for a cuppa afterwards.

Buses:   The number 8 bus stops outside. The 682 stops near the tram stop.  The tram stop for Sheffield Road, Hackenthorpe is only 100 yards away from the Church.

Parking: There is a small car park bedside the church. If this is full, the alternative is street parking nearby.

Toilets:   There are toilet facilities in the church.
