Step Out Sheffield is entirely volunteer‑led. From leading walks to supporting behind the scenes, our volunteers make it possible for people across the city to enjoy free, friendly, accessible walks every week.

Volunteer Roles (You Choose What Fits You)

Walk Assistant
Support trained walk leaders on friendly, short walks. You’ll help keep people safe, encourage conversation, and enjoy Sheffield’s green spaces together.

Volunteer Walk Leader
Take the lead on welcoming, accessible walks once trained. You’ll guide the group, create a relaxed social atmosphere, and make a real difference locally. Full training and support are provided.
