 Stannington Meeting point Jan 2022

The ‘village’ of Stannington has hosted a Wellbeing Walk since 2007. Stannington is situated on the hillside above the Loxley and Rivelin valleys and walks in this area are anything but flat! However, the village is criss-crossed with footpaths, snickets and greenspaces and provides a very attractive area in which to walk, with the added bonus of stunning views.

The experienced leaders on this walk know the area well and are able to change the route to suit the ability of their walkers and to provide a varied programme of walks. Walks end back in the TARA office with a cup of tea or coffee and a natter. The facility there isn’t huge so the atmosphere is cosy and homely. New walkers are always made very welcome, however, because of the hills, this walk is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
