Bolehills Park Entrance Jan 2022 Bolehills meeting point 3 Jan 2022

Bolehills Park, Crookes

Bolehills Park is situated on the west side of the city and straddles the western edges of both Crookes and Walkley. The park falls steeply away to the Rivelin valley below and enjoys fabulous views of Stannington and the countryside beyond. On a clear day you can see the communications mast on Emily Moor!

This walk is a relatively new one having been launched in June 2018.  Walkers meet inside the park, just outside the bowling green area, in time to register and leave at 10:30. The park has well-made paths which are wheelchair and buggy friendly and the routes chosen are generally the flattest ones. Come and join us - you'll find a warm welcome whatever the weather! On a clear day views from the park are stunning, and even on a dull day there is plenty to see. One of our walkers paused to take a good look at the colourful letter box art on Heavygate Road on an otherwise dull day in October 2023. By January 25th 2024 there was a fascinating new topper to look at.
